Late Sen. Godiya Akwashiki Campaign Council, has endorsed Dr David Emmanuel Ombugadu (PDP) for June 20th, 2026 . Nasarawa North Senatorial bye-election.

Mr Ezekiel Makama, the Chairman of the Campaign Council announced this on Thursday while addressing journalists during its meeting in Akwanga.

Makama said that the endorsement of Ombugadu by the council was due to his track records and achievements when he served as member, House of Representatives representing Akwanga/ Nassarawa Eggon/ Wamba Federal constituency.

He said that Ombugadu has done well while in the green chamber of the National Assembly.

” Today, we the members of 2023 Campaign Council of Late Senator Godiya Akwashiki met and after extensive deliberations by our Members

” Which cut across Akwanga, Nassarawa Eggon and Wamba LGAs, we unanimously endorsed Rt. Hon David Emmanuel Ombugadu for the June 20th, 2026 Nasarawa North Bye election.

” This is because Rt. Hon David Emmanuel Ombugadu has done well when he was a member of the House of Representatives,” he said.

He expressed optimism that Ombugadu would provide quality representation, if given the mandate come June 20,2026.

” We are aware of the achievements of Rt. Hon David Emmanuel Ombugadu, when he served as a member of the House of Representatives representing Akwanga/ Nassarawa Eggon/ Wamba Federal constituency

” He has provided water, education, health, scholarship, employment, empowerment among others.

” He will do more, if elected as Senator come June 20th, 2026,” he said.

Makama also disclosed that Hon Ibrahim Tanko Adamu ( Alhaji TK Wamba) and Hon Istifanus Abaku, PDP aspirants for Nasarawa North Senatorial bye-election have stepped down for Ombugadu.

” Hon Istifanus Abaku from Nasarawa Eggon LGA and Hon Ibrahim Tanko Adamu ( Alhaji TK Wamba) from Wamba LGA have stepped down for Rt Hon Ombugadu.

” They have also agreed to work for the victory of Ombugadu come June 20th, 2026 Nasarawa North Bye- election,” he added.

The Chairman of the Campaign Council assured of their readiness to mobilise support for the victory of Ombugadu during the bye- election.

Also speaking, Hon Ibrahim Tanko Adamu ( Alhaji TK Wamba), PDP aspirant for Nasarawa North Bye- election confirmed that he has stepped down for Ombugadu.

” Yes, I have stepped down for Rt. Hon David Emmanuel Ombugadu for the Nasarawa North Bye- election come June 20th, 2026.

” I will mobilise support and work for his victory,” he said

Tanko urged the people of Nasarawa North Senatorial District to vote Ombugadu come June 20,2026
