Mr Jimoh Tiamiyu, the Special Adviser on Corporate Affairs to Gov Ahmed Ododo of Kogi, has promised to provide effective representation for Lokoja 1 Constituency in the state assembly in 2027.

Tiamiyu made the promise when he formally declared his intention to contest for the seat at the Kogi House of Assembly in 2027 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This is contained in a declaration letter of intent presented to party leaders and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Abuja.

“I write to formally declare my intent to contest for the position of Member, Kogi State House of Assembly, representing Lokoja 1 Constituency.

“This decision comes after careful reflection, wide consultation, and a deep conviction to effectively serve the good people of Lokoja 1 with integrity, transparency, and purposeful leadership.

“I am driven by a strong desire to contribute meaningfully to the legislative process and to champion policies that will promote development, equity, and prosperity within our constituency.

“Over the years, I have remained loyal and committed to the ideals and principles of our party. I believe strongly in the progressive agenda of the APC and its mission to improve the lives of Nigerians.

“With your support and that of other stakeholders, I am confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of our constituency,” he said.

Tiamiyu, who is popularly known as ‘Fancy’, stated that he remained steadfast in supporting the administration of Ododo.

He added that he was committed to working tirelessly towards the success of Ododo’s government and his re-election, in line with the continuity of good governance in our state.

According to him, Lokoja 1 Constituency is blessed with vibrant, resilient, and industrious people.

“However, there remains a need for more effective representation that prioritises the welfare of the people, strengthens infrastructure, empowers youths and women, and ensures that the dividends of democracy are felt at every level.

“My aspiration is anchored on key priorities including youth empowerment, education, healthcare improvement, infrastructural development, and enhanced community security.

“I am determined to be a responsive and accessible representative who will always prioritise the needs and aspirations of the people.

“I am particularly passionate about leveraging technology to create opportunities for our youth, improve access to education, and support innovation and digital entrepreneurship.

“I respectfully seek the support, guidance, and endorsement of the party leadership and members at all levels as I embark on this journey,” he said.

He restated his commitment to conducting a peaceful, issue-based campaign in line with the rules and regulations of the APC.

“I assure you of my loyalty to the ideals and principles of our great party, and my commitment to promoting unity, peace, and progress,” he said.
