Prof. Mohammad Sani Haruna, former Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), has pledged to prioritise education, agriculture, infrastructure and health, among other sectors, if elected Nasarawa Governor.

Haruna, an APC governorship aspirant in the upcoming 2027 general elections, made the pledge on Monday during a meeting with his Nassarawa Eggon Local Government and Ward Coordinators in Nassarawa Eggon.

He said his ambition was driven by a commitment to deploy his experience in technology, public service and development planning to fast-track the state’s development.

Haruna said he has the capacity and credentials to govern the state in 2027.

“I have done a lot for the state during my time in public office. The records are there, visible and verifiable,” he said.

While outlining his achievements in office, the former NASENI boss said: “I will bring speedy development to the state if elected governor in 2027.

“I will develop education, health, agriculture and infrastructure, among other sectors, if given the mandate.”

He added that his agenda included the promotion of peace and unity, describing them as the bedrock of sustainable development in any society.

The former NASENI boss also promised to empower youths and women and create jobs for them if elected in 2027.

He appreciated the coordinators for their support and pledged to work for the betterment of Nasarawa State, if elected.

Haruna urged them to mobilise support for him across the local government areas ahead of the party primaries.

Responding, Mr Suleiman Angbashim, Coordinator, Nassarawa Eggon local government, pledged their support to ensure Haruna’s victory in the forthcoming APC primaries.

“We want to assure you of our support and mobilisation to ensure your success during the APC primaries,” he assured.

It would be reported that during the event, Prof. Haruna received DFS support group Nasarawa Eggon led by Maitala Shuaibu and Barade Youth support group led by Abdullahi Maikai Company as they pledged their support for him.
