Nigeria Forum for the Advancement and Development of Youth, (NIFADY), has called on President Bola Tinubu to appoint Dr Nicolas Felix, All Progressives Congress ( APC) Presidential Aspirant as minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The forum also called on state governors to appoint more youths and women into their cabinets.

This is contained in a statement signed by the forum National Coordinator, Hon Suleiman Angbashim and the forum National Secretary, Comrade Imaji Gabriel and made available to newsmen in Lafia on Monday.

The statement said that its call for the appointment of Dr Felix was based on his track records and to give the youth a sense of belonging.

The statement also said that the appointment of more youths and women would enable them contribute positively to the development of the country.

” Appointing youths like Dr Nicolas Felix into your cabinet, other youths and women, it will generally increase positive participation of more youths in nation building.

According to the statement, we call on His Excellency, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint more cabinet.

” We are aware that alot of people are working to bring back old recycle leaders into the system

” but we call on our beloved President to appoint younger generation into his cabinet.

” We equally call on all Governors across the nation to appoint more youths and Women into their cabinets,” the statement said.

The statement also called on the youths and other Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu and other leaders to succeed.

“As a youth organization, we call on youths across the nation to give maximum support to the government and shun violence,” he said

The statement recalled that in 2023 elections, it was difficult for Nigerian youths to even purchase the form of major political parties due to high cost of nomination forms

” Except for Dr Nicolas Felix, who push to ensure that the youth wing is being future in All Progressive Congress, as a political party,” the statement added.

The statement further urged the youths and other Nigerians to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and live peacefully with their neighbours for development to thrive.
