Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau has expressed optimism that Gov. Abdullahi Sule would construct Kokona/ Bassa/Angiri roads in order to reduce the hardship being faced by people plying the road and improve on their standard of living..
The Speaker stated this while playing host to traditional rulers and groups who are on congratulatory visit to him in his country home, Angiri, Kokona LGA today.
The Speaker urged the people to shun religious politics in the interest of peace and for the overall development of the country.
Rt. Hon Jatau called on all groups and other people of the state to continue to pray and support Gov. Sule to succeed.
He said that Gov. Sule has done well and still doing his best in developing the state.
The Speaker promised to ensure the his people get employment promising to empower the people of his constituency.
He urged the people of his constitency and the state at large to co-exist peacefully for development to thrive.
In a related development, the Speaker also paid a traditional homage on the Village Head of Uke Community, Mr Ibrahim Usman to receive his royal blessings, prayers and support.
He assured the Village Head and other groups of his readiness to make them proud by initiating good policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on their lives and the lives of others.
Mr Ibrahim Usman, the Village Head of Uke Community appreciated Rt. Hon Jatau for the visit.
The village head prayed, blessed and assured Hon Jatau of his peoples support.
The village head appreciated Gov. Sule for supporting his son, Rt. Hon Jatau to emerge as the Speaker of the House.
It would be reported that Bassa Community Development Agenda, Bassa ward led by its Chairman, Mr Danjuma Commander Kasa, Jigawa community of Bassa electoral ward led by Yamusa Chindo Vonne, APC Chairman of Bassa ward, Eggon Cultural and Development Association ( ECDA) Bassa District led by its Chairman, Haruna Maga Audu, Mada community from Bassa Ward led by Hon Elisha Dogo, Aren Eggon of Bassa District, Mr Aliyu Giwa and Village Head of Yelwa District, Mr Maiwada Dauda, District Head of Bassa represented by his Secretary, Mr Bamaiyi Soja, Baki’Ayini community led by Hon Maikasauwa Audu, Uke Youth Association among other groups were all at hand to register their felicitation, prayers and support.
The groups said that the visit was to congratulate and rejoice with Speaker Jatau on his emergence as Speaker of the state legislature.
They advised him to remain focused and to carry everybody along irrespective of people’s affiliations.
They also prayed and assured Hon Jatau of their loyalty and support at all times.
Similarly, Rt.Hon Danladi Jatau, has distributed wrappers and cash to widows and elderly women in his constituency.
This he said was to appreciate them for their support and improve on their standard of living.
Rt.Hon Jatau urged those who are yet to benefit from his gesture from the six electoral wards of his constituency to be patient, saying that the gesture will be in phases.
The Speaker called on the widows and elderly to pray and support him and the Government of Engr. A A Sule to succeed adding that the Governor will address their challenges ranging from road, security among others.
Responding, Rhoda Musa, a beneficiary appreciated the Speaker for the gesture and prayed God to bless him abundantly.
