Member representing Nassarawa Eggon West Constiuency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abel Yakubu Bala, has organized and sponsored Sing Song Competition for 18 Local Church Council (LCCs) Kagbu, Nassarawa Eggon LGA of the State,

Hon Abel, the Chairman, House Committee on Education, Science and Technology disclosed this while declaring open the Sing Song Competition held at Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ ( ERCC) Ekpon Kagbu, Nassarawa Eggon LGA today.

It would be reported that the competition was titled “Rt. Hon. Abel Yakubu Bala SIng Song Competition for 18 LCCs Kagbu.

The lawmaker said that the essence of the Sing Song Competition was to provide a platform for the women to praise God, showcase and develop their talents, gain exposure, experience and to foster unity, peace and sense of togetherness.

” As the event was also organized to promote unity, peace and sense of oneness among other spiritual benefits

According to him, It is good to sing praises to our God Almighty. Songs are ways to express love, gratitude, and reverence to God, fostering personal relationship with him.

He expressed happiness with the peaceful conducts and performance by the participating LCCs.

” I am here with my wife and my entourage to praise God with you
through songs.

” I have decided to sponsor this Sing Song because singing is considered as a vital form of worship and prayers.

” I want to commend all of you because you have done excellently well and let’s continue to remain united for the progress and development of our constituency and the state at large.

Hon Abel urged the women to embrace songs at all times, saying that the importance of songs in praising God cannot be overemphasized.

He appreciated the women and other people of his constituency for supporting him to succeed in the state legislature.

The lawmaker called on the women and other people of his constituency to continue to live in unity and peace irrespective of their backgrounds.

Hon. Abel assured of his continued commitment to provide sound representation at the state legislature.

He appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for the good work he is doing in the state and called on the people of his constituency and the state at large to continue to support him to succeed.

” His Excellency, Engr Abdullahi Sule is doing well and let’s all support him to succeed, he said .

Besides, Hon Abel said that he is not defecting to SDP in the state.

On his part, Rev. Danjuma Ogah, the Archdean, ERCC Nassarawa Eggon Conference urged the women to adhere strictly to the rules of the competition in the interest of peace.

He also urged the panel of judges to be impartial in awarding marks.

The cleric thanked the lawmaker for sponsoring the Sing Song Competition and prayed God to reward him abundantly.

Also speaking, Mr Moses Ogah Solomon, the Chairman, Panel of Judges of the Sing Song Competition, assured of fairness during the competition.

He urged the participating LCCs to abide by the rules of the competition.

Earlier, Women Leader of ERCC RCC Kagbu, Mrs Rahila J Abalaku assured of the women commitment to praise God through songs.

Mrs Ablaku appreciated Hon. Abel for sponsoring the competition and assured of their continued prayers and support to enable him succeed.

It would be reported that the Sing Song Competition brought together 18 Local Church Councils (LCCs) under ERCC Kagbu , Nassarawa Eggon LGAs.

It would also be reported that ERCC LCC Ekpon came first position with N250,000 prize award, ERCC LCC Lambaga Central came Second position with N200,000 prize award and ERCC LCC Otta Arikpa came third position with N150, 000 prize award respectively.

It was also gathered that other participating LCCs got N100,000 each, Reverends, Pastors, traditional rulers among others went home with cash amounts accordingly.

The competition also had in attendance PDP Chairman, Nassarawa Eggon LGA, Mr Godiya Yaro, PDP Chairmen of the wards of the constituency, politicians, clergies among others.

The 18 LCCs that made up of the ERCC RCC Kagbu included Etsipi, Lambaga South, Wolon, Ongredzi Ngubi, Kagbu B, Ongezi, Ogbayi, Nguibi, Lambaga Central, Watta, Arikpa, Kagbu Central, Lambaga West, Wunyu, Ekpon, Wana, Lambaga East, Otta Arikpa.
