Rahmat Muhammed, Aisha, Amir and Ummi, on Monday, were docked in a Grade I Area Court, Kubwa for allegedly beating up co-wife, Ummi.
The complainant, Ummi, instituted a direct criminal complaint against the defendants, praying the court to charge them with joint act, assault and battery.
She told the court that she was a co- wife to Rahmat, while Aisha and Amir are Rahmat’s children and Ummi, Rahmat’s sister.
” I and my co-wife are married to Mallam Muhammed Jibrin and we live together in the same house.
” Rahmat is always insulting me and she conspired with the other defendants, stripped me naked , beat me up and inflicted me with injuries on my body.
” My co- wife also called my son a bastard, saying that I should go and look for his father.
” I have reported the matter to Dakwa police station in the past and sought for the Chief of Dakwa to intervene to no avail,” the complainant said.
The defendants, pleaded not guilty, saying that it was not true.
The judge, Mohammed Musa however transferred the matter to Kubwa Police Station for investigation.
