“… urges security agencies to fish out killers of farmers in the area…”
Member representing Keana Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Mohammed Adamu Omadefu, has urged security agencies to arrest the killers of farmers in his constituency.
This, he said, the arrest would serve as deterrent to others as well as promote peace in the area just as he stressed the need for Nasarawa State Government to demarcate the boundaries between Keana LG and Guma LG of Benue State to address the situation.
Hon. Omadefu who is the Chairman, House Committee on Environment and member representing Keana Constituency stated this during the three day prayers of Late Musa Yusuf, a graduate of Nasarawa State University Keffi, who was killed recently in his farm in Keana LGA.
The lawmaker said that he would do everything humanly possible in collaboration with security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators of the devilish act are brought to book.
” The state Government has deployed security to Keana to forestall and maintain peace and order
” We will ensure that the perpetrators of this brutal killings are brought to book and justice is done to serve as detterent to others” he said
Hon. Omadefu expressed sadness over the brutal killing of people in his constituency.
” I am here to condole and attend the prayers of late Musa, who was brutal killed in his farm
” I urge the family  to take heart, May God forgive Musa of his shortcomings and may the soul of Musa rest in peace” he said.
Hon. Omadefu also prayed God to grant the deceased Aljanatu Fidausi.
The lawmaker condemned the acts and assured of his commitment to ensure that Keana LGA remain peaceful and safe.
” By the special grace of God, evil doers in this constituency will not go free
“The law will catch up with them, how will one kill his fellow human beings like animal, this is inhuman and heartless” he said.
He urged the people of the area to go about their farming and other activities, saying that security agencies will deal with trouble makers in the area.
The lawmaker further urged the people of his constituency to continue to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities, live in peace and unity irrespective of their affiliations.
Besides, Hon Omadefu appealed to the state government to demarcate the boundary between Keana LGA and  Guma LGA of Benue State for and development to thrive.
Responding, Mr Danladi Yusuf Agede, the father of the deceased appreciated Hon. Omadefu and his entourage for identifying with them at their trial moment and prayed God to bless them abundantly.
