The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nasarawa State command, has urged its officers and men to continue to adhere strictly to professionalism.

The Sector Commander, Mr Ibrahim Maiyaki-Bazama, made the call on Friday in Lafia while addressing officers and men of the command.

Maiyaki-Bazama also said the personnel must shun indiscipline and corrupt practices while discharging their duties.

“If officers and men of the corps adhere strictly to their professional ethics, it will not only promote peace but speedy development in the country,” he added.

The sector commander also reminded personnel of the command of their roles in ensuring that motorists adhere to traffic rules and regulations.

“I want to urge you to continue to be professional. The corps will not tolerate any form of indiscipline and corrupt practices among its officers.

“The corps will take drastic measures against anyone found wanting, to serve as deterrent to others,” he said.

Maiyaki-Bazama commended the officers and men of the command for working tirelessly to ensure that the roads were safe for motorists and other road users.

The sector commander assured the personnel of continuous training and retaining, to enhance their  professionalism and effective service delivery.

“We will continue to train our officers and men to ensure professionalism while discharging their duties to ensure they operate within the core mandates of the corps,” he added.

He called on the public to always observe traffic rules and regulations, so as to reduce accidents on the highways. (NAN)
