The House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee probing allegations of employment racketeering at the Federal Character Commission (FCC) has ordered the arrest of the prime suspect, Haruna Kolo, a former desk officer at the FCC.

Yusuf Gagdi, the Chairman of the committee, gave the order on Thursday following Kolo’s failure to appear before the committee in continuation of the hearing.

Kolo had confessed before the committee to havec collectedmoney from job applicants on behalf of the FCC Chairman, Muheeba Dankaka.

Kolo had also told the committee that he used his personal bank account to collect monies from job applicants and withdrew the same in cash for Dankaka.

The committee had asked him to report back to the House in furtherance of te investigation, but hase refused to show up.

Gagdi directed the clerk to commence the process of procuringa warrant of arrest for him.

Gagdi, representing Pankshin/Panam/Kanke Federal Constituency in Plateau State, urged security agencies to arrest Kolo and bring him before the committee on Monday.

“For Haruna Kolo, the position of this committee is that he will lose his freedom.

“We will issue a warrant of arrest in respect of Haruna Kolo and compel security agencies to present him before this committee at any given period if he is so arrested Gagdi said
