The National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) has commenced capacity building development for 10,000 persons of concern.
Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, the Federal Commissioner of NCFRMI, said at the opening of the training that it was a dream come true.
“We are determined to help persons of concern build resilience and help them with a coping mechanism.
“We brought about 200 of you here as the first batch of the 10,000 to help develop your ICT skill in the Skill-Up Programme of the NCFRMI.
“This is going to help you, because when you increase your learning, you increase your earning. I want you to take advantage of this opportunity.
“This programme is in line with the vision of President Buhari vision of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in ten year,” said Sulaiman-Ibrahim.
The Director-General of National Information Technology and Development Agency (NITDA), Malam Inuwa-Kashifu Abdullahi, encouraged the participants to concentrate and learn.
He said after the four days training, they would be able to be self employed and also become employers of labour. (NAN)
