“I am aware that there have been allegations on social media against the Commissioner of Police in Imo State but for this election, we are changing the commissioner of police in Imo,” the IGP said on Sunday on Channels Television’s People’s Townhall on Election Security.
According to reports, the NLC President Jos Ajaero was allegedly brutalized by the police in Imo State last week during a protest and the labour union among other demands are the sanctioning of the police command in the state.
Although the IGP said the redeployment of the commissioner of police may have nothing to do with the accusation of the Labour Unions but for neutrality’s sake.
