An emerging story has it that a close relative of immediate past President Muhammadu Buhari, daughters, and inlaws of some powerful citizens in Nigeria has been sacked by the Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Folashodun Shonubi.

Our source claims that those sacked by the new CBN Governor Folashodun Shonubi, were said to have been recruited without following due process. It also stated that they lack merit to work for the apex bank in the country.

The sacked CBN staff included close relatives of the immediate past President Muhammadu Buhari, the daughter, and son-in-law of Senator Ali Ndume, the daughter of a former Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, and 80 other staff of the apex bank who are sons and daughters of political bigwigs in the country.

The new administration within the CBN stated that they were recruited with no compliance with the provisions of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Act relating to employment.
