A coalition of northern youth support for Atiku/Okowa Presidential ambition hàs tied Nigeria emancipation from the country unfriendly economy to 2023 general elections.

The group at a news conference on Saturday in Abuja also drum support for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidates, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.

The National Coordinator of the group, Amb. Suleiman Ibrahim, stated that it is only Atiku/Okowa that possesses the necessary tools to pilot the affairs of the country back to its glorious days.

He said that the decision to support Atiku/Okowa candidacy was reach after careful assessment, based on the fear of God, charisma, intelligence, experience possesses by these two personalities.

“I welcome you all to this historic inauguration of our state excos to mark the commencement of this great battle of serving our dear Nation.

“Leadership consists of picking good men and helping them to do their best. We have identified that person’s and we are putting our time, energy and resources to ensure that we set this country on the right path.

“The 2023 general election, unlike any other, is an election in which we can’t afford any mistakes because our survival as a people and as a Nation depends on it.

“This is why we the northern youths have taken it upon ourselves not to just identify the right candidate but to also agitate, propagate and ensure that the right candidate emerges as the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.

Ibrahim also described Atiku as a man with right reputation, and that the decision to support him was motivated by the fact that the country is at a very trying moment and that it is only Atiku that can fixed it up.

He said that there was an urgent need for a paradigm shift and that as young Nigerians, they want to witness a working Nigeria, flourishing in unity, peace and progress.

According to him, Atiku is a man that will redirect the country’s economy, and that he is also a man who has the capability to tackle the insecurity and corruption in the country.
Ibrahim also said that Atiku was named a unifier because of his reputation of being an unbiased man and always fair in his judgment, saying that these are perfect qualities Nigeria as a country needs.

He said that the group would not relent in its pursuit for good governance laced with fairness and equity, adding that it is dedicated, determined in its quest to ensure good governance from May 2023.

According to Ibrahim, the group have vision and mission of making sure it contribute its quota towards the actualisation of Atiku/Okowa’s victory.

He said that the group representatives from the 19 states of the country as well as the FCT are strategizing and mapping out action plan that would carry the group message to all the nooks and crannies of the country. (NAN)
