The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris and his team on Saturday visited the Minister of Works, David Umahi in Abakaliki.
The minister’s visit came after the tour of projects and town hall meetings with the people in Enugu and Ebonyi.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the minister’s entourage include Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu, Mr Bayo Onanuga and the Managing Director of NAN, Malam Ali M. Ali.
Others are the Directors-General of Voice of Nigeria, Malam Jibrin Ndace, Nigerian Television Authority, Malam Salihu Dembos, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Dr Mohammed Bulama and that of NBC, Mr Charlse Ebuebu.
Also, among the entourage were the Executive Secretary, Nigerian Press Council, Dr Dili Ezughah, the President of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Dr Ike Neliaku, the President of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Mr Alhassan Yahaya, the President of RATTAWU, Mr Emeka Kalu and many others.
NAN also reports that while in Enugu, Idris and his team inspected the ongoing works at the Enugu-Port Harcourt Federal Road, the dualisation works at the Enugu-Abakaliki Road and many other projects
Also, in Ebonyi, the Minister inspected the Abakaliki-Afikpo Road, the Ebonyi sections of the Enugu-Abakaliki Road, the Trans-Saharan Superhighway and many others.
The minister also had town halls meetings with the people of Enugu in Enugu State and Ebonyi in Abakaliki. (NAN)
