Natives under the umbrella of Abuja Original Inhabitants Youth Empowerment Organisation (AOIYEO), has felicitated with Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting which ushered in the Eid-el-fitr celebrations.

The President of the association, Commandant Isaac David, who made the Felicitation in press statement issued in Abuja on Monday, urged them to reflect on the lessons as they mark this year’s Eid-El-Fitr.

David said the doctrine of Islamic faith is premised on sacrifice and peace respectively, adding that the residents should pray for the FCT administration and the country over the present security challenges facing the nation.

According to the statement, Muslim faithful should continue to be ambassadors of Islam at all times and reflect on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad for life everlasting.

“Let us continue to imbibe those lessons we learned during Ramadan; those preaching and those sermons that we heard during the month of Ramadan.

“Don’t say that Ramadan has gone and you want to go back to your evil ways to start committing sins and atrocities.

“Let us not fail to understand that our actions will be questioned irrespective of the position we occupy. That is why we are appealing to everyone.

“Let us continue to wake up and pray in the night, pray for our community, our state and and our nation for development,” the statement said.

However, he also called on the electorate to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and vote credible leaders for economic development of the country.(NAN)
