Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has been presented with certificate by the Senate screening Committee.
Chairman of the Senate Screening Committee who made the presentation disclosed that Taraba is the first state to have accorded them the type of reception they got.
He expressed gladness on the manner at which the aspirants conducted them selves saying it is evidence that Taraba is a peaceful state.
“The reasons for been at the Governor’s office is to give honor to whom honor is due by presenting the first certificate to the Governor as the number one citizen and as a screened and certified candidate to run for the office of Senator representing Southern Zone at the 2023 General elections.
In his remarks, the state party Chairman, Col Kefas Agbu applauded the screening Committee for a thorough job weldone.
“The Committee worked all through the night in making sure they screen the large number of aspirants who all purchased forms vying into various offices in the state.
“By this certificate Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku is hereby cleared and certified to contest for the office of Senator representing Southern Taraba 2023.
Those in the entourage at the presentation of the certificate are, Barr. Adeola Adewumi from lagos chairman Screening Committee House of Assembly, Alhaji Salisu Suleman from Kano Chairman Screening Committee Senate Taraba state, Hajiya Laddi kadadi Chairman Screening Committee House of Representatives, Hon Amb Othman Elkudan amongst others.
