The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Chairman and Publicity Secretary, Comrades Ajiboye Olanrewaju and Adewale Adenekan respectively gave notice of the industrial strike in a statement on Sunday in Abeokuta.
The declaration is to press home their demand for payment of the 40% peculiar allowance from the Ogun State Government.

The indefinite strike follows the expiration of the 14-day additional ultimatum given to the state government to meet their demands.

JUSUN had earlier went on a five-day warning strike to protest non-payment of the allowance to the State Judiciary workers.

According to the statement, the leadership of the union had forwarded necessary documents requested by the representative of the Government since Friday, March 8, to the governor.

The union sent a copy of the letter to the Secretary to the State Gobernment (SSG), Head of Service (HOS) and Attorney General of the State.
