Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Public Accounts has commended the Office of the Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State (SSG) for being up and doing in monitoring and ensure the development of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the State.

Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki, the Chairman of the Committee gave the commendation when the office of the SSG appeared before the committee to defend its 2026 budget today in Lafia.

He said that the committee would support the office of the SSG to succeed considering its roles in monitoring and coordinating the activities of MDAs in the State.

“By God’s grace, we will continue to support you to succeed because your office is very sensitive to the development of the state.

” As engine room of the state government, you need our support and I want to assure you that we will work together for the overall development of the state,” he said.

Earlier, Mr Muhammad Iliyasu Idde, Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Affairs and Special Services and Mr Jafaru Loko, Permanent Secretary, General Administration, Office of the SSG respectively appreciated the committee for supporting their activities to succeed.

They also appreciate Gov. Abdullahi Sule for funding activities of the office optimally and called for its sustenance.

They assured of coordinating and monitoring the implementation of government policies and programmes in the state effectively.
