Dr Kingsley Ogu, Convener of Enforcers of Good Governance (EGG), an NGO has commended President Bola Tinubu for the achievements recorded by his administration in the last two years.

Ogu made the commendation in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He also congratulated Tinubu and Nigerians on the celebration of the nation’s 65th independence anniversary.

“I want to commend Mr President for his reforms, especially the student loans, the coastal road project, and other legacy initiatives being undertaken by his administration.

“With over N100 billion disbursed across 231 institutions and more than 581,000 beneficiaries, the student loan programme is magical. Posterity will be kind to you, Tinubu,” Ogu said.

He stated that the pace of work on the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway was “rapid and audacious,” noting that such reforms reflected a level of foresight that had been lacking in past administrations.

According to him, Nigeria could have been at par with countries like the United Arab Emirates, Brazil and Malaysia if such reforms had been implemented earlier.

Ogu also commended Tinubu for restoring civil rule in Rivers.

“Mr President placed the interest of the Rivers people first by listening to their demands.

“He lifted the emergency rule and allowed both the elected governor and the state assembly members to resume their constitutional duties,” he added. (NAN)
