………… Speaks on his political ambition, Governorship aspirants, Gov. Sule’s 6years in office, Toto LG and return of Bassa, other political developments,… says the meeting is to put their house in order b4 time.

The Immediate Past Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has held a strategic political meeting with politicians and critical stakeholders from his constituency of Umaisha/Ugya in Toto LGA of Nasarawa State.

The meeting which took place today Tuesday in Lafia the State capital brought together prominent politicians and stakeholders from Umaisha/Ugya State Constituency.

They include both serving and former elected and appointed political office holders who has served or still serving both at the State level and Toto LG among others and are from Umaisha Area Administrative Council.

They attendees were led by the Administrator of Umaisha Area Administrative Council Hon. Salihu Kasim Hasheem, the Secretary Toto LG Hon. Muhammed Baba Yahaya and the APC Chairman of Toto LG Alh. Shuaibu Ahmed respectively.

The meeting which was held behind close doors lasted for over four hours after which the former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and convener of the meeting revealed that it was his usual meeting with his people to put their house in order especially now that the political atmosphere is gathering momentum.

Balarabe Abdullahi who is the current Chairman, Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State called on his people to be patience in respect to the Governorship aspirants to support at the moment and wait for Governor Abdullahi Sule who is the father of the State and the political leader to give them direction.

He said that there are numbers of aspirants who has indicated interest to contest for the Governorship position among other positions saying that they are all qualified and capable but at the end of the day is one person among them that will emerge at a particular time and for particular position.

“Leadership comes from God, he is the one that will choose whoever he wishes to be the next Governor and I believe that the person God will give, he will use Governor Sule to anoint the person”

“This is politics, and it is a serious political issue because we are talking about who represent us at various levels, who succeeds Gov. Abdullahi A Sule of Nasarawa State, His Excellency has done a great job for the people of the State, His performance is beyond expectations and he can never be naive on the matter of who succeeds him”

“Is just a matter of time and when the time comes, definitely Gov. Sule will choose who he may wish that he be his successor, he will chose a competent person that will consolidate on his achievements and by the grace of God the person the Governor will give us will be the choice of God “
Balarabe Abdullahi also called on the people of the State and his people to ensure that they participate fully in the ongoing Continuous Voter’s Registration especially those who has clocked 18 years.

“You see, this meeting is very important to me and to our people and the purpose of the meeting is that one, you are aware that that INEC has just announced continuation of updates in Voter’s registration, this is a very important process especially as we are approaching election period, so it is very important for me to call on critical stakeholders and politicians in my constituency to prepare them for the exercise for them to take it very very serious “

“During the last exercise some people are not up to 18years but now are over and above, so they need to register, those with other corrections or damages also need to correct them now and I also want our people who are voting outside to use the exercise to transfer their voting home” Balarabe said.

“Secondly, you know now people are looking for various positions ranging from State Assembly, House of Reps, Senate and above all the Governorship position and I told them to be patience, we are loyal party members, and the leader of our great party is His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A Sule, so we should wait and wait for his direction, the direction of Government should be our direction”

“Thirdly, I talked of unity and law abiding by our people, recently, our brothers the Bassa people are back and is important to consider them as our own, we should work together for peace, unity and development of Toto LG, this is the essence of this meeting ” He said.

He emphasized that Toto LG has been on the receiving end and it take the grace of God and the great effort of Gov. Abdullahi Sule to restore peace in Toto LG and now peace has returned fully.

“We have gone through a lot of crisis, to God be the glory Engr. Abdullahi A Sule has assisted us greatly to bring peace to Toto LG, we experienced the presence of a deadly terrorist group Darul Salam, kidnapping among others that even travelling along the axis was difficult and now is history, so for me Engr. Sule is one person I so much believe on, whoever he is going to bring to succeed him, I know the person will as well love and cherish my people and my LG so we are with him totally because that is where we are going to have more peace and more development” He added.

While noting that he is part of Engr. Sule’s administration, Balarabe Abdullahi scored his administration high saying the State has never had it so good in all aspects describing the Governor as a blessing to the State.

While emphasizing that all the Governorship aspirants have the capacity to deliver and are qualified to contest advised them to play the game by its roles and know that leadership comes from God and whoever God will choose to succeed Engr. Abdullahi A Sule will definitely emerge at the end of the day.

On his political ambition, Balarabe Abdullahi said politics has been his profession all through the years and he will continue to be in the field and whatever position his people deem necessary for him to contest and serve them will be his responsibility and direction to go when the time comes.

In their separate speeches, the APC Chairman Toto LG, Alh. Shuaibu Ahmed, Secretary, Toto LG Hon. Muhammed Baba Yahaya and Hon. Salihu Kasim Hasheem the Administrator, Umaisha Area Administrative Council said the visit was to identify with Balarabe Abdullahi as their political leader and to discuss unity as well as emerging political developments in the State and to have a direction just as they described the meeting as fruitful.
