“… inspects ongoing projects in some general hospitals, lauds contractors over quality job…”
Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for prioritizing health sector via initiating different health projects across the State.
Hon. Larry Ven-Bawa, the Chairman, House Committee on Health gave the commendation while inspecting fencing construction at General Hospital, Assakio, Lafia LGA and Three other projects at General Hospital, Gudi, Akwanga LGA today.
Projects inspected in General Hospital Gudi included construction of Hall, Administrative Block and Theater.
Hon. Ven-Bawa said that the projects when completed would improve on the general health status of the people of the State.
According to him, we want to appreciate His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule for bringing health services closer to the people.
” The Assembly is pleased with His Excellency’s health projects, This is very good development, this is a very good news for Nasarawa State.
” We are happy with His Excellency efforts that is putting in the health sector of the State and we urged him to sustain the tempo” he said.
The Chairman said that the visit was to ensure that contractors adhered strictly to projects specifications and to ensure that quality work is done.
” The purpose of this visit is to inspect projects and ensure that contractors adhere strictly to projects specifications.
” This is an oversight function. What we want is to ensure that the right things are done for improved healthcare services.
” We are not here to witch hunt any contractor neither government but to exercise our constitutional responsibilities” he said.
Hon. Ven-Bawa also commended contractors for job well done.
” To the contractors, we will like to say well done and I urge them to complete the work according to specifications” he said.
The lawmaker also disclosed that the committee would continue to monitor all health projects across the state for standard work.
” We will continue to keep eagle eyes to ensure that the right things are done,” he added.
He urged the contractors to submit their bills of quantities to the committee.by tomorrow Thursday.
