The Lily College of Nursing Sciences, says it has  matriculated no fewer than 136 pioneering students in General Nursing and Basic Midwifery of the institution.

The Provost of the school, Mr Felix Udogwu ,in a statement on Saturday in Abuja , charged the students to embrace their calling with responsibility and purpose.

“The Matriculation formally welcomed 136 pioneer students; 100 in General Nursing and 36 in Basic Midwifery into the college.

“This showcased the institution’s strong start in providing quality nursing education grounded in excellence, ethics, and service.

“You are the first fruits of a vision not just to educate, but to transform lives.

“Your journey here is a declaration of readiness to serve humanity with compassion, discipline, and integrity,” Udogwu said.

The Provost of the institute, which is located in Warri, Edo ,emphasised the college’s commitment to producing professionals who are both clinically competent and morally upright.

The statement also quoted the Chief Executive Officer of Lily Hospitsl, the parent institution, Dr Austin Okogun reiterating the strategic goal of the college to bridge the healthcare manpower gap in Nigeria through world-class education.

“We are building an institution that will outlive us. These students will soon become the backbone of clinics and hospitals across the country.

Okogun assured continued access to state-of-the-art training facilities, mentorship, and clinical exposure through Lily Hospitals.

According to the statement, students the  pledged to uphold the noble ideals of the nursing and midwifery professions.

It added that,l the oath symbolised not just academic commitment but a lifelong promise to serve humanity with empathy and honor.

“Students expressed pride and gratitude for the opportunity to be part of Lily College’s foundational class. It said.
