History was made on 28th June as Hon. Dikko Zephaniah Kpagu Gbusu, a revolutionary voice for the oppressed people of Kuje, emerged victorious in the just concluded Social Democratic Party (SDP) Chairmanship Primary Elections for Kuje Area Council.

In his victory speech, Hon. Dikko dedicated this triumph to God Almighty and to the working people, grassroots communities, and all oppressed masses of Kuje, whose voices have long been silenced by elite domination and bad governance.

He expressed deep appreciation to the party officials, the electoral committee, and the courageous delegates who, despite the pressures of the ruling class, stood firm to elect him as the SDP flag bearer for the 2026 general elections. His emergence symbolizes the people’s resistance against political oppression, land exploitation, and economic marginalization that have held Kuje down for years.

Hon. Dikko, a revolutionary figure committed to justice and the liberation of the common people, commended the electoral process for being free, fair, credible, and transparent, a rare achievement in a system often manipulated by political elites to serve their selfish interests.

He called on all SDP members, grassroots movements, farmers, youth, women, and progressive forces within Kuje Area Council to unite beyond personal differences, as true change can only come through collective struggle. He emphasized that only through unity and mass participation can they overthrow the old order and reclaim power for the people.

“Kuje will be great again, but only when the oppressed rise, organize, and take their destiny into their own hands,” he declared.

The victory of Hon. Dikko marks a critical step in the class struggle for political liberation and equitable development in Kuje.
