 The acting Provost of College of Education Akwanga in Nasarawa state, Dr. Danladi Ibrahim has announced that in the current 2024/2025 academic session, the college has admitted over 2000 new students into the various NCE programmes of the college.

The Provost stated that in his speech during the matriculation ceremony of the students held at the convocation arena of the college, Tuesday.

Ibrahim congratulated the new students, admonishing them against engaging in violence or any act that will tarnish the image of the college at all times such as drug abuse, drunkness, immodest/indecent dressing, examination malpractice, sexual abuse, cultism, stealing, gossiping, unlawful gathering and the likes saying instead they should work hard to excel in their studies.

The Provost also warned that any one couht, the college authority will invoke the provision of the law to deal decisively with him or her as perpetrator.

Dr. Danladi Ibrahim continued “As the institution accepts you today, we are convinced that your choice to be students of this college was acknowledged by your desire to contribute meaningfully to the developments of your fatherland through the teaching profession.

” College of Education is a teacher training institute where the tenets of the teaching profession are highly respected.

“These tenets include among others, hard work, diligence, thoroughness and determination. I enjoy you therefore to ensure that those tenets are observed.

Highlights of the event were the formal oath taking by the newly addmitted students, academic procession by the principal officers/staff of the college, taking of photographs among others.
