The Dangote Industries Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to innovation by integrating advanced digital technology across its manufacturing and sales operations, boosting efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Speaking at the 46th Kaduna International Trade Fair, Senior Advisor to the President of the Dangote Group, Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, highlighted how the conglomerate’s embrace of smart systems has revolutionized its businesses, particularly in cement production.
“We have since digitized our manufacturing and sales processes through the deployment of automated and smart systems, particularly in our cement plants,” she stated. “What used to take days is now accomplished in minutes.”
She further emphasized the role of technology in driving growth across Dangote’s diverse sectors, including cement, sugar, salt, fertilizer, petrochemicals, and agriculture. The company’s DMS Application, available on Android and iOS, allows registered customers in cement, sugar, and salt to place orders seamlessly.
At the event, Dangote Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (DPAN) was also showcased as an example of the group’s commitment to local manufacturing. “By assembling globally renowned Peugeot models—such as the Landtrek pickup, 3008, 5008, and 508 GT—DPAN fosters trade by reducing import dependency and providing locally assembled vehicles at competitive prices,” Wali Abdurrahman explained. The plant currently has a daily production capacity of 120 vehicles and an annual target of 44,000 units.
The President of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KADCCIMA), Rsv Ishaya Idi, commended the Dangote Group for its role in job creation and industrial development, urging Nigerians to support the company’s efforts.
The Federal Government also recognized Dangote’s contribution to Nigeria’s industrialization drive. Representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr. Dafang I. Sale, lauded the company’s impact on the economy.
“The Dangote Group is not only a major employer but a key driver of Nigeria’s economic transformation,” said Alhaji Usman Saulawa, Director General of the Chamber. “Its partnership with Kaduna State and other companies has been a unique selling point of this year’s trade fair.”
As Nigeria pushes for industrial self-sufficiency, Dangote Group remains at the forefront, leveraging technology to strengthen local production, create jobs, and enhance trade.
