The Tanke Division of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, held a Medical Outreach, Security Summit, and Award Night on December 20, 2024, as part of its end-of-year activities.

The event showcased the Corps’ commitment to community service, security improvement, and the recognition of excellence within its ranks and among stakeholders.

The program began with a Medical Outreach targeting elderly residents of the Tanke community. Free medical tests were conducted as a testament to the Corps’ dedication to social responsibility and the well-being of citizens.

This was followed by a Security Summit, which emphasized strengthening neighborhood safety through proactive strategies. Discussions involved key stakeholders who deliberated on tackling security challenges collaboratively to ensure a safer society.

The grand finale of the event was an Award Night celebrating officers and stakeholders for their exceptional dedication and contributions to public safety.

Speaking at the event, the Kwara State Commandant, Dr. Umar J.G. Mohammed, represented by the Area K Commander, ACC Kehinde Adebayo, commended officers for their commitment to duty. “Recognizing hard work and dedication not only motivates personnel but also inspires excellence and strengthens service delivery,” he stated.

Tanke Divisional Officer, SC Oyinloye Yinka, described the event as a significant platform to appreciate officers’ resilience, encourage stakeholder participation, and reinforce the Corps’ mandate of safeguarding lives and property.

He also acknowledged the support of critical stakeholders, noting that the division’s success was built on collaborative efforts and partnerships.

The NSCDC Kwara State Command reiterated its commitment to sustaining these initiatives, enhancing community engagement, and improving operational efficiency in the coming years.
