The Umuoji Patriotic Citizens (UPC), umbrella body of Umuoji Community in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, has urged political detractors, especially a faceless “UMUOJI Patriots” to desist from their evil act and all publications of calumny against the “JUKOK” boss, Chief Kanayochukwu Okoye,( Ichie Omekannia) to ensure peaceful coexistence and development of the community.
The union made the call in statement signed by its Publicity secretary, Mr Iyke Onwuezobe(Iron Gate), urging disgruntled individuals and detractors to shield their swords and stand behind Chief Okoye.
UPC particularly flayed a faceless factional group parading themselves as Umuoji Patriots for sponsoring a publication calling on Umuoji people to disregard the Igwe-elect, saying such action was divisive and threatens the unity of the community.
“The Patriotic and common citizens of UMUOJI were flattered that the people’s’ choice of UMUOJI has become a trending topic on your daily activities.and publications.
“Your’ envious publications about the Iroko of UMUOJI, people’s choice and winner of the only recognized and endorsed UMUOJI Dimechem Igweship Election of may 8th 2021 by Central Executive Committee of UMUOJI, and UMUOJI Igwe/Regent in Council that was in line with great Umuoji Chieftancy constitution which was boldly written and generally accepted by the 23 villages that made up UMUOJI IGWULUBE OKODU was brought to our notice.
“Your publications in News Band was also brought to our notice, ordinarily we choose to ignore because you are FACELESS UMUOJI Patriots and unknown but for the integrity of Umuoji Patriotic Citizens that was duly registered with C.A.C.
“We hereby denounce the knowledge of any group called UMUOJI Patriots and disassociate the Umuoji Patriotic Citizens from the FACELESS political detractors and warn that they let the great son of Umuoji (JUkOK Boss) be and Umuoji community peace to reign.
“We are worried that _FACELESS beings can hide under the name of Umuoji Patriots,
“Imagine the FACELESS Patriots parading a man whose belief lies in fetishism divination and oracle/consultation as the Umuoji people’s choice
“Umuoji as a great town is too big and matured to be cajoled into such state of quagmire by FACELESS beings .We followed our Chieftancy Constitution, conducted the Dimechem Igweship election and the people’s choice emerged on 8th may 2021, in the person of Chief Kanayochukwu Okoye.
“All this childish and envious heart ache publications Is nothing but jealousy and envy of wicked souls over the popularity of the “JUKOKBOSS”
“It could be recalled that some members of Patriotic Citizens of UMUOji in conjunction_ _with Regent of UMUOJI as the traditional custodian authority of Umuoji ,and UMUOJI people’s choice (JUKOK BOSS) who happened to be the winner of Dimechem Igweship Election was petitioned in Awka Directorate of State Security Service (D.S.S.S) on 15th Feb 2022, after the hearing and prayers of the petitioner, the hunter became the hunted as it was ruled that people have the right to call their loved ones any tittle name of their desire and that no one can stop them.”
UPC therefore threatened to take legal action against the faceless group ,adding that “We warn the so called FACELESS Umuoji Patriots to show up and desist from their evil act or otherwise be unmasked and face legal battle with UMUOJI Patriotic Citizens as a registered association.
“In conclusion, it’s just the envy , jealousy and heartache of a loser and the acceptability and popularity of Chief Kanayochukwu Okoye “Ichie Omekannia” as Igwe Elect of UMUOJI that provoked the destroyers and evil men in UMUOJI to crop up the unknown and FACELESS so called UMUOJI Patriots with their unnecessary envious publications on News Band.
“Just for the avoidance of doubt, there was never an election or re-run on 8th June of_ _2021 but a joke and charade of selection because Chief Kanayochukwu Okoye and his village people never participated, it was obvious even to the doubting Thomasees_that the posted result sheet by FACELESS Umuoji Patriots was not signed by the Secretary of Electoral Committee and Technical Adviser,One should ask why ?
