The Executive Chairman of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area,Rt. Hon.Enyiada CookeyGam, has commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State for creating a healthy investment climate in the state as the Governor is poise to celebrate his one year in office.
Speaking with newsmen recently in Opobo, shortly after the Simplified Movement Thanksgiving Service in honor of the Governor’s Supreme Court victory in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area.
CookeyGam said owing to Governor Fubara’s pragmatic economic policies, Rivers State has become an investment destination with enormous potential.
He stressed that the Governor has for the past one year in the service of the state, is investing in the 23 Local Government Areas of the state, saying,”When you have a head of government who understands what it takes to govern and role of government, he ensure that investors are comfortable.
“We have been very encouraged. It is only in the state aggressive development that we are focusing.
The dispensation is also looking at other businesses.The administration is intended to be long- term partners of Rivers State.”
The Chairman of Council expressed delight on having a personality like Sir Siminalayi Fubara investing in the state, and assured him of his administration’s readiness to partner with him and potential investors in changing the economy of Rivers State. ” We will continue to create an enabling environment for you to succeed,” CookeyGam assured the Governor, saying,”Please bring more investments to the state.”
The Chairman also charged Rivers people and business owners in the state to gird their lions for an imminent investment boom, stressing that with his quality services, the Fubara-led is ready to discharge more prosperous development programmes across the 23 Local Government Areas in the state. CookeyGam maintained that Governor Siminalayi Fubara whose government is to commission multiple projects he executed is about to be bring more people oriented development as the government progresses, through worthy road maps for more transformation in the state, which is currently in the offing.
He described the one year’s development programmes, as a job well done, despite some daunting challenges bedeviling the state and Nigeria in general.
Rt.Hon. Enyiada CookeyGam also believe that the Governor is out to provide and promote the needed development Rivers’ people deserves, adding that,”We are solidly ready to back him to achieve the yearned dividends of democracy to the people.”
