Ancient Keffi town,a bubbling cosmopolitan city situated in Nasarawa state Nigeria with over 300,000 thousand inhabitants resident in the city may face a fresh insurgency of terrorism organization known as (ISWAP),which is already settling down in the city according to reports presented recently at a one day sensitization seminar for concerned security formation and allied organization held at keffi Hotels,organized by the local government chairman Hon.Mohammed Baba Shehu the keffi local government chairman.
The state security services in their presentation called on the religious leaders, traditional rulers and groups, individuals living in keffi to report unwholesome movement,cases that may pose as security risk to keffi town.The security Agencies pointed out the grave experience witnessed in 2023 on an ISWAP member detonating a bomb thereby killing himself which is the example of the notorious act of such a deadly group.
Another security threat group coming up strong is the yan__shara groups who are mostly youths and fathers.
The security Agencies called on the government of the day to ensure that they are emphasized as security threat and should be destroyed and eradicated.
The security Agencies pointed out that other areas identified as security risks are the discovery of dead bodies in keffi randomly which portrays the presence of ritualists.
In the land of keffi,because the human vital organs of these dead bodies are sporadically seen and mutilated in keffi, which attest to the fact on the presence of ritualists in the land.
The security Agencies warned the youths to desist from destroying public buildings.
Another issue identified in keffi as a breach to security is the issue of Almajiris whose base was identified in keffi and have been used as a surveillance for kidnappers and other heinous crime,some of them were taken to Jos plateau state when discovered.
Another issue is the alarming rate of drug consumption,a situation whereby a youth after consuming drug raped his own mother is highly abominable.

Ndubuisi Agabus .A. in his deliberation stated that their persistent stop and search at night have saved keffi from destruction, often during routine stop and search he stated guns of various magnitude are discovered and confiscated including drugs he stated..
He enjoined the religious and traditional rulers to support the NDLEA in other to rid keffi of drug abuse and related drug consequences.
In a communique issued stated that the executive chairman of keffi local government area Hon.Muhammed Baba Shehu,has set up a ten man committee to curtail the activities of hoodlums posing security threat in the area.
The committee chairman are Messrs Mallam Muhammad. T.MWADA and Alhaji Muhammad Adamu secretary respectively.
Recall that relevant stakeholders and heads of the various security Agencies in the local government including traditional rulers,religious leaders were in attendance.
The 10 man committee will ensure citizens participation in Information sharing with security to be encouraged,religious leaders fostering the spirit of charity among citizens and support to be provided to security outfits.
The committee will also implement tracings
Apprehensions,investigations and the prosecution of members of yan_shara
The committee will sustain raid of drugs,black spots in around keffi metropolis.
Elements as well as other criminals in the community.
