Mr Mohammed Adamu Omadefu ( APC), Member representing Keana Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has called on the people of the constituency and other Nigerians to play politics by its rules ahead of 2023 general elections.
This, he said, was in the interest of peace and overall development of the constituency and the State at large.
Omadefu made the call on Saturday during the wedding Fatiha of his Niece, Hauwa Ozotu Oshafu and her beloved one, Safiyanu Rilwanu Adamu at the palace of Osana of Keana
According to him, Keana local government is well known for peace and It is on this note that I want to call on the politicians, youths and women of Keana to play the games by its rules ahead of the 2023 elections.
” This is in the interest of peace and for the overall development of Keana Local Government Area and the State at large.
Omadefu while congratulating the new couple, urged them to show love and understanding with each other for their marriage to last.
” I want to call on the couple to respect the sanctity of the marriage institution which include love, sacrifice, patience and understanding among others.
” I want to congratulate the couple on their successful marriage and to wish them happy married life.
Omadefu, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Information also urged the couple to avoid third party in their marriage.
The lawmaker prayed God to make the union a blessful one devoid of crisis and rancour.
Also speaking, Engr. Abdulaziz Danladi, member representing Keffi East Constituency at the state legislature and Mr Mohammed Ayitogo, APC Zonal Chairman , Nasarawa South while rejoicing with the lawmaker for the successful wedding of his Niece, prayed God to bless the marriage.
The duo also urged the couple to show love, understanding, be open minded and have forgiving spirit in order to enjoy their marriage.
They congratulated the couple and wished them well in their marriage.
Earlier, the Chief Imam of Jummat Mosque Osana Palace, Keana Mallam Hassan Dangi declared Safiyanu and Hauwa as husband and wife after the payment of N100,000 as dowry and presentation of medical certificates of fitness.
Dangi also called on the couple to embrace the attributes of marriage which includes love, patience, perseverance, understanding, tolerance and forgiveness for the progress of their family.
He prayed for peaceful 2023 elections and for the emergence of God-fearing and competent leaders.
The Chief Imam also prayed for the unity, peace, progress and development of Keana, the state and country at large.
Alhaji Abdulkarim Sabo, Jagada Keana stood in for the groom’s father while the Osana of Keana, Alhaji Abdullahi Amegwa Agbo 111 stood in for bride’s father just as praise singers entertained the guests by adding colour to the occasion.
