Labour Party ( LP) Senatorial Candidate of Nasarawa North, Dr Musa Wen-Ibrahim, has promised to lobby for the speedy completion of Farin Ruwa hydro electricity project in Wamba LGA, if given the opportunity to serve as senator representing the zone come 2023.
Wen-Ibrahim gave the assurance on Saturday during a meeting with various support groups at his campaign office in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The labour party senatorial candidate, who is also a retired Federal Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Water Resources said he has one point agenda which focus on the completion of Farin Ruwa hydro electricity project.
According to him, Farin Ruwa hydro electricity project, has the potential of generating fourty thousand mega watt of electricity among other socio economic benefits to the state.
” I will not fail the people of Nasarawa North at the National Assembly, if given the mandate come 2023.
” I will lobby for the speedy completion of Farin Ruwa hydro electricity project, if given the opportunity to serve as senator representing the zone come 2023.
” As the importance of the project to human and societal development couldnot be overemphsized,” he said.
Wen-Ibrahim, therefore enjoined the people of Nasarawa North senatorial zone to vote for only credible persons in the forthcoming general election.
The senatorial candidate urged the people of the zone and Nigerians to continue to live in peace and tolerate one another for development to thrive.
Responding, separately leaders of Igbo, Eggon, Hausa communities as well as representatives of Youth from the zone assured the senatorial candidate of their support considering his integrity and good record of service as a retired federal permanent Secretary.
They have assured him of their support.
